I Anayat Yousuf thank Almighty Allah, my parents & Kashmir Education Initiative for supporting, teaching & mentoring me in this Journey from Kashmir to Germany. During career counseling workshops at KEI, I came to know about UWC. It is the podium where my talents/strengths were analyzed and I was given the utmost support to flourish my talent. My transformative journey began at United World Colleges (UWC). Here, I experienced a holistic education that nurtured me intellectually, socially, emotionally, and ethically. Through rigorous academic programs, diverse extracurricular activities, and meaningful service opportunities, UWC molded me into a well-rounded individual prepared to impact society positively.
Crucially, this transformation was fueled by the awareness instilled in me by the KEI Career Counseling programs, a core activity of the Kashmir Education Initiative. Through KEI's dedicated efforts to empower scholars, I gained a deeper understanding of global issues, cultural appreciation, and a sense of responsibility toward creating positive change in the world.
Upon graduating from UWC, I embarked on the next chapter of my journey by enrolling at the University of Oklahoma to pursue a Bachelor's in Human Health & Biology with Pre-Medicine. Armed with the values and skills instilled in me by both UWC and KEI, I approached my studies with unwavering confidence and determination. The solid foundation laid by UWC and the transformative influence of KEI's initiatives opened doors to countless opportunities. It paved the way for my success at the University of Oklahoma and beyond.
As I reflect on my journey, I am immensely grateful for the profound impact of UWC and the guiding light of KEI. Their collective efforts have not only shaped my academic and personal growth but have also equipped me with the tools and mindset needed to thrive as a global citizen, making meaningful contributions to society wherever my path may lead.
The countless experiences in KEI gave me a unique birds-eye view of the educational happenings in and outside the classroom. The enthusiasm & joy KEI has for teaching, supporting and mentoring creates a fantastic atmosphere for learning and helped me bag a 60 lakh scholarship in UWC RBC GERMANY. UWC scholarship isn't only a feather in my cap, KEI has helped me with various achievements like All India Rank 136 in NEST-JUNIOR 2019, a Medal of Distinction for achieving Zonal rank 19 in National Science Olympiad 2020-21 or Silver medalist in Goprep talent search Examination.
Besides academics, KEI has remained with me in various projects like "Utilisation of waste paper and preservation of Handicrafts on 26th NSC".
