As I sit down to write these words, I find myself overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation for the invaluable work carried out by the Kashmir Education Initiative. With each passing day, KEI continues to inspire hope, foster learning, and uplift communities across the region. My name is Fiza Jan and I am also a KEI scholar from 2016 batch. From the depths of my heart, I extend my deepest thanks to each and every member of the Kashmir Education Initiative. My journey with KEI begain as our results for 8th grade got declared.
In the jkbose complex head of Brein, Srinagar, I proudly stood as the 8th class topper, achieving a commendable score of 98% through hard work. It was my friend Minha, also a KEI scholar, who introduced me to this organization for financial and moral support. Meeting the members of KEI was a warm and welcoming experience; they were down-to-earth and always ready to offer encouragement and assistance when needed.
In the vibrant journey of my academic success, KEI played a pivotal role beyond providing financial aid. Their invitation to diverse mentorship programs and workshops became the catalyst for a transformational journey. These invaluable opportunities not only improved my speaking skills but also instilled a newfound confidence within me. Through KEI's unwavering support, my personality blossomed, evolving into a more confident and well-rounded individual
During the COVID-19 lockdown, KEI provided crucial support amidst the disruptions to my NEET preparation. Their provision of recorded lectures via pen drive exemplified their dedication to overcoming obstacles. They also were agreeing to let me access laptop but fortunately I already had my own laptop and phone to study from. Now after such a great support, in November 2023, I successfully got selected in SKIMS paramedical college to pursue my degree in BSc Anesthesia, critical care and operation theatre. It is my first year in the college and I am filled with immense satisfaction because I find myself having gained huge success within some years after learning and training from such a reputed institute.
I am sincerely grateful to the Kashmir Education Initiative for their unwavering support and guidance throughout my academic journey that shaped up my career altogether.
