I am Snober, a proud alumna of KEI, graduating from its High School Scholarship Program in my 12th-grade year with the class of 2022. My story with KEI is one of self-discovery and empowerment, a journey that began when I was introduced to this institution during my 9th-grade years.
It is a story of finding my voice. It was a distant acquaintance who first mentioned KEI to me, and I joined with the hope of receiving financial assistance. On the day of my registration, I remember feeling nervous and unsure of myself. As I walked through the doors of KEI, I carried with me the silent prayer to escape any questions that required confidence in my answers. Like many young students, I believed that the correctness of my responses defined my worth.
However, that first day at KEI marked the beginning of a profound transformation. Despite my initial shyness and lack of confidence, I found myself immersed in a supportive environment that encouraged growth and self-expression. The workshops, mentorship, and other meticulously designed programs brought new challenges and opportunities for learning, and gradually, I began to find my voice.
Through these programs and the feeling of being in the KEI family, I discovered the power within me to overcome obstacles and embrace my strengths. No longer was I defined by the correctness of my answers; instead, I learned to value the process of learning and the journey of self-discovery. Currently, I am cherishing my dream of becoming a journalist, all stemming from finding my voice.
Looking back on my time at KEI, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities it provided me. It was within these walls that I found the courage to speak up, the confidence to pursue my dreams, and the resilience to face life's challenges head-on. In addition, KEI prepares leaders of tomorrow who are ready to contribute to society. I am part of the KEI volunteer group which is always on the front foot to be part of KEI initiatives impacting more lives like me. This sense of community keeps me satisfied that life is all about learning and lending help to others.
Today, as a proud alumna of KEI, I carry with me the lessons learned and the memories cherished. My journey with KEI has shaped not only my academic success but also my personal growth and development. It is a journey that continues to resonate within me, reminding me of the transformative power of education and the importance of finding my voice in a world filled with endless possibilities.
